The Famous Dark Hedges are located in County Antrim in Northern Ireland between the villages of Armoy and Stranocum, located just 1 mile (only a 10 minute walk) from Thornfield Farm. The Dark Hedges are one of the most photographed spots in Northern Ireland and attracts visitors from all over the world.
The Dark Hedges, was made famous by the Game of Thrones and is now one of the most visited places in Northern Ireland. In the show, the Dark Hedges were used as “The Kingsroad“. The Dark Hedges appear in the closing scene of the first episode of Season 2, which is titled “The North Remembers“. In the episode, Arya is seen escaping from Kings Landing in a caravan, which is filmed traveling through the Dark Hedges along the “Kingsroad”.
The Dark Hedges also featured in the Transformers: The Last Knight in a scene in the movie where mysterious figure is seen riding a horse through the trees.
